Crickets have a high nutritional value (see table) and moreover, due to their harder armor, they have the property to clean the intestinal system of young birds by dragging along the excess mucus in the intestine during the intestinal transit. This is especially important with purely insect-eating birds.
House crickets, band crickets, steppe crickets and field crickets are usually used. In our nurseries crickets are grown on a mixture of grains, and all without adding any growth promoter or chemicals.
